We started the day with a prayer (Our Father). We continued talking and learning more about Lent, we focused on fasting this week. Kids are going to fast this week from something they really like (adore) for God. Every time they want to have or do that thing, they will pray instead, saying "This is for God". Some of these things that they are going to fast from: do art, drawing, being with friends, play basketball or soccer, etc.
The idea is to help kids understand that fasting could be in many shapes and forms but basically it means to sacrifice something. This is to make the concept of sacrifice more understandable to them once we come to talk and learn about Jesus Christ sacrifice.
After taking the holy bread or being blessed (for the kids who haven't taken their First Communion), we had a piece of chocolate as usual!
