The first meeting for Our Lady of Deliverance Parish New Council was held on Sunday, 2/15/15 at Mrs. Gina Mamary’s house.

Here is the summary of discussions:
Father Afram welcomed and thanked the new parish council members for volunteering.
Father Nimatullah also welcomed the new parish council members. He stated that this council is a continuation of the previous council’s efforts.
The new parish council members introduced themselves and gave an overview of their jobs and skills to help facilitate the election process.
Here are the elected members:
Secretary: Tawfiq Kiryako
President: Nabil Cherbaka
Vice President: Fouad Jalakh
Treasurer: Paul Cherbaka (Alfred Haddad will also help with this transition)
Media Responsible: Nadeem Hasso
Organizing the Ladies of Auxiliary: Gina Mamary
Reception Committee: Nabil Cherbaka and Elias Sohdou
The mass for the Stations of the Cross to be held either on Wednesdays or Fridays was discussed. The decision was made to hold the mass on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM. This decision is still waiting for conformation and approval by the Holy Cross Church. Following the mass will be a dinner.
Holy Thursday will be held on 4/2/15 at 5:30 PM. The time needs to be confirmed..
Good Friday will be held on 4/3/15 at 7:30 PM.
Tawfiq Kiryako will work with father Afram to schedule training meetings for the Deacons.
The next parish council meeting will take place on 3/1/15 at Elias Sohdou’s house.
The next Ladies of Auxiliary meeting will take place on 2/26/15 at 7:30. Meeting Location is to be decided.
The parish council discussed the possibility of having a Mother’s Day party. The details are yet to be determined.
